Krystle responded how she felt when she was representing Georgia as Miss Deaf Georgia while she competed with national contestants at Miss Deaf America pageant and what she had learned from her experience at the Miss Deaf America pageant:
"I felt very honored to represent Georgia at Miss Deaf America Pageant and was in fact having fun meeting new friends and learning how other states are and so on. I learned that you have to work extra hard to achieve goals that may seem impossible in other people's eyes but in the end it'll all be worth it! I've also learned even though it was HARD practicing and getting ready for the competition always make the best out of ANYTHING!"
