This workshop is designed for Advanced Sign Language Students, Interpreting Training Program students, Interpreters, ASL Teachers, Deaf ASL users, and Professionals/Educators in Deaf Education wishing to learn more about ASL Linguistics |

| Workshop Abstract: |
This workshop will provide you with the basics of American Sign Language linguistics through lectures, activities and group discussion presented in American Sign Language. This workshop will cover the meaning of language and linguistics; the rules of language from phonology, morphology, syntax to discourse; including the symbols of language, catergories of language users and changes that naturally occurs with languages. |

| When: |
This 10 hours workshop will be divided into two days, and |
| Wednesday, July 18th, 2007 from 2:30 pm - 9 pm with a one hour and a half dinner break from 6 pm - 7:30 pm, and |
| Thursday, July 19th, 2007 from 8:30 am to 3:00 pm with a one hour and a half lunch break from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. |
| Lunch will be on your own. |
Participants will be offered the opportunity to receive 10 hours CEU for this workshop. There will be interpreters to voice during this workshop.
Registration will begin thirty (30) minutes before the published "start" time. |
