Georgia Association of the Deaf

BY-LAWS

As reviewed and approved by active members at GAD 2013 Conference

Jekyll Island, Georgia.

ARTICLE 1- NAME

Section 1. This organization shall be known as the Georgia Association of the?Deaf, Inc. (hereafter known as the Association).

Section 2 The Association shall be incorporated under the laws of the state of Georgia as a non-profit educational, welfare, and deaf advocate association (the word Deaf hereafter incorporates those persons with a hearing loss).

Section 3 The Association shall be a cooperating member of the National Association of the Deaf. The Association shall meet all of its obligations as a cooperating member association, including payment on the annual quota as set by the National Association of the Deaf, and send to the National Conferences the maximum number of representatives to which it is entitled under the By-laws of the National Association, providing that Board of Directors finds this financially feasible.
